Job Title: General Manager
Job Description: We are looking for a passionate General Manager who is truly committed to excellent service, cuisine, and guest experience. Strong leadership and creative thinking are a MUST for this role. Our experience isn’t meant to just be “ordinary”. Our restaurant provides a unique dining experience, focused on high-quality food combined with a beautiful floral atmosphere and superior customer service. We are looking for applicants with a strong, reliable work ethic who share our passion for fine cuisine and above-and-beyond hospitality. 

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of a restaurant. You will lead a team of employees, ensure excellent customer service, achieve financial targets, maintain quality standards, and uphold the restaurant's reputation and vision. The role of a GM requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of the restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a diverse team of restaurant staff.
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of exceptional customer service.
Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to maintain stock availability while minimizing costs.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation, timely service, and high-quality culinary offerings.
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
  • Focus on delivering an exceptional dining experience by maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Interact with customers, address inquiries or complaints promptly, and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and ratings, taking appropriate actions to enhance customer loyalty and drive repeat business.
Financial Performance:
  • Assist in developing and executing business strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Analyze financial reports, such as sales figures, expenses, and budgets, and take necessary actions to optimize performance.
  • Implement cost-control measures to manage labour costs, food waste, and other operational expenses.
  • Conduct regular financial audits and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
Marketing and Promotions:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute effective promotional campaigns.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competition, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Engage with the local community, build relationships, and explore partnerships to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the restaurant industry is required.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and safety standards.
  • Financial acumen to analyze financial reports, develop budgets, and manage costs effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management/POS software, such as OpenTable.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
