We are looking for the best Senior Sous Chefs to join us as the #2 in command within high volume, high impact kitchens!

The opportunity
 
This group is hiring a talented and driven Chef de Cuisine/Sous Chef to lead the culinary team of an incredible high volume concept in Boston. This is a high-impact role ideal for a visionary, organized, and creative Sous Chef with experience in high-volume casual à la carte dining.
We're looking for a hands-on leader who can develop and inspire teams, deliver standout guest experiences, and bring artistic flair to a fast-paced, high-profile kitchen.

As Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef, you'll support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily restaurant operations and executing large-scale catering events, especially during busy game days. Candidates must be experienced in expediting (expo) during high-intensity service windows, maintaining precision, speed, and seamless communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.

What will you do?
  • Supervise and lead the culinary team, ensuring production efficiency, proper culinary techniques, adherence to recipe standards, and high-quality food preparation
  • Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members, while creating a cohesive work environment
  • Support food and labor cost management, prepare schedules, oversee inventory control, and manage ordering and receiving processes
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team in menu design and recipe development, utilizing expertise in costing and writing bulk recipes
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen that complies with state and local health department regulations and company policies
More about you:
  • Minimum three years' experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume industry-leading concept with 10 years' culinary experience in established restaurants and catering companies
  • Certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred but not mandatory; ServSafe and Food Safety Handler certifications helpful but not mandatory
  • Strong financial and computer skills; experience working with and understanding of P&Ls and budgeting; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs
  • Proven ability to lead team members clearly and concisely while positively influencing behavior and performance
 
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position
