Job Title: General Manager
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Reports To: Director of Operations
Compensation: $75,000-$85,000 + $20,000 bonus potential
Education
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Degree in Management, food service, or a hospitality-related field preferred
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Labor Management System, Talent Acquisition System, Kitchen Display System, Table Management System, and Inventory and Ordering Systems
- Knowledge of Culinary Back Office Systems
- Able to use appropriate labor reports and staffing guidelines
- Experience creating schedules for hourly employees
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of employees within the restaurant as well as with guests
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- 5+ years management experience in restaurant, hotel, retail, or general business required
- 3+ years consistent achievement of highly distinguished business results as a Restaurant Manager preferred
- Experience managing all facets of a restaurant (service and culinary)
- Experience managing teams of managers and hourly employees in the hospitality industry
- Experience recruiting, selecting, developing and retaining hourly employees
- Ability to train management team and hourly employees, formally and informally, to ensure that all employees are able to perform to the best of their abilities
- Experience setting high standards and holding employees accountable for meeting those standards
- Able to develop operational improvement plans based upon business and service results
- Proven ability to build sales through ensuring a superior guest and employee experience
