Job Title: General Manager
Location: Barrie
Job Description: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, working closely with the leadership team to ensure a seamless and profitable dining experience. This includes developing and supporting managers, maintaining high service standards, driving guest satisfaction, and ensuring consistent execution across the business. The role also focuses on cost control, operational efficiency, and building a positive, high performing culture that supports both team engagement and financial results.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and sustaining a restaurant culture that delivers excellence across every aspect of the business, including guest experience, service standards, culinary and bar quality, team engagement, strong morale, and consistent profitability
- Leads and supports the management team, working in close partnership with the Chef to ensure seamless day to day operations and shared accountability for results
- Drives top line sales growth while managing costs and ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded
- Produces, reviews, and reconciles P& L statements, operating within established budgets and guidelines for costs, expenses, sales, and profits
- Oversees the recruitment, training, development, and mentoring of Assistant Managers, leader potentials, and future General Managers and Chefs, building strong internal succession as the business grows
- Oversees the training and ongoing development of front-line teams, ensuring consistent coaching, guidance, and accountability
- Monitors and manages operating expenses to ensure effective cost control systems are in place and consistently followed
- Evaluates training programs and results to ensure all team members contribute to high levels of guest satisfaction and operational success
- Champions recognition, engagement, and motivation initiatives to support a strong workplace culture and position the restaurant as an employer of choice
- Collaborates with senior leadership as a key contributor to long term planning, strategy, and brand positioning
- Coordinates food and beverage initiatives, promotions, and menu planning to maximize guest experience and drive sales growth
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with team members, guests, vendors, and support partners
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess:
- 3+ years as a successful General Manager in a high-volume environment
- Ability to analyze and present P&L reconciliation
- Strong financial management and cost-control skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Ability to understand, incorporate, and utilize AI is an asset
- Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Business education is an asset
