A star GM in Toronto

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining a culture of service and hospitality. Your leadership and guidance will provide strategic direction to the team; ensuring the company quality service and food standards are upheld and the key objectives of the flagship restaurant in Canada are met.
 
  • Effectively lead all areas of the business operation including outside contractors, programming, guest services, culinary, purchasing, catering, and restaurant
  • Provide continuous leadership and coaching to managers overseeing the above functions; ensuring the company vision and values drive their objectives
  • Develop and implement business plans and strategies; prepare and monitor operating and capital budgets that align with the restaurants vision, driving sales and delivering on budgets
  • Work in conjunction with the company's finance, IT, human resources, and culinary departments holding dotted line responsibilities as it relates to the employees supporting the business
  • Ensure appropriate sales tracking, inventory and accounting systems are in place and followed daily and weekly
  • Apply expertise and a strategic outlook in developing and growing programs and events
  • Build, manage and leverage client relationships and business partnerships
  • Foster a “one team” approach while adhering to the company service standards and policies
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • Minimum 2 years Regional Manager or 5 years as a General Manager k in a high-volume restaurant, bar environment or food & beverage operation
  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to guest service
  • Create and maintain a positive culture by leading from the front and being a brand ambassador
  • Confident user of MS Office, inventory, and POS programs
  • Experienced with operational budget management and cost control measures
  • A talent for negotiating contracts and managing resources to accomplish organizational objectives
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships
