Job Description:
General Manager: The individual is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality control, and handling financials. Duties include hiring, training, and scheduling staff, managing inventory and food costs, developing and implementing business strategies to increase revenue and profitability, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. They must also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and provide outstanding guest experiences. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a proven track record of success in managing a team, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Hiring and training staff, and managing the performance of employees
  • Ensuring food quality and consistency meet the standards of the restaurant
  • Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels
  • Scheduling staff to meet the needs of the restaurant
  • Managing the restaurant's budget and financial performance, including monitoring costs and revenue, and ensuring profitability
  • Interacting with customers to ensure a positive dining experience and address concerns or complaints
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and complying with health and safety regulations
  • Developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to increase business
  • Maintaining accurate records, such as sales reports, inventory, and employee records
  • Collaborating with other restaurant managers and staff to achieve common goals.
  • Overall, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly, meets its financial goals, and provides an enjoyable and satisfying experience for customers.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a management role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations and financial management
  • Ability to manage a diverse team and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
  • New restaurant opening experience would be an asset
  • Relocation opportunities are available
  • Post secondary degree or diploma with a focus in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred but not required
