The Director of Restaurant Operations is responsible for directing the activities of all outlets according to company policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities
- The Director of Restaurant Operations is responsible for directing the activities of all National outlets according to the policies and procedures of the company
- Advises Head Office Department heads and Executives of matters affecting operations and recommends policies and procedures. Directs head office operations personnel.
- Identifies opportunities and recommend activities to improve the profile, image, sales growth and financial results of all outlets.
- Maintains and promotes positive business relationships with Franchise Partners as well as outside agencies.
- Maintains awareness of legal matters affecting the company’s activities.
- Planning and Policy Responsibilities
- Recommends changes to The Company policies and procedures.
- Recommends goals for the Company with respect to:
- Growth in numbers of guests and net profit
- Number of outlets
- Potential Restaurant Partners
- Required manpower needs
- Pay levels of operations personnel
- New enterprises to enhance the levels of service to guests, and revenue to The Company
- Determines training needs and programs for Regional Operations Managers, and Head Office Operations personnel.
- Overseas the management and execution of franchise training programs.
- Overseas the execution, set up and development of new store opens.
- Determines and ensures proper levels of head office support for field activities and new store opens through collaboration with responsible Head Office Personnel.
- Schedules conduct and/or ensure performance reviews are completed with Regional Operations Managers and other Head Office Operations Personnel.
- Monitors results of individual outlets, specific regions, as well the company as a whole, comparing results to budgeted costs, and creates action plans when necessary.
- Handles employee and customer concerns as needed.
- Complete and present annual and quarterly planning initiatives to the CEO.
- Holds weekly meetings with operations personnel to ensure action plans and targets are met.
- Work with Regional Operations Managers and Operations Personnel to ensure annual and quarterly goals and initiatives are carried out.
- Oversees the schedules and operational components of company rollouts (menus launches, promotions, technology
- Determines appropriateness of procedures and recommends change when necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises all management functions
- Delegates supervision of some field and head office management to Regional Operations Managers and Chefs.
- Ensure high levels of understanding and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure procedures used in all outlets comply with policy requirements and meet the needs of associates in dealing with customer needs.
- Review and approve Head Office Operations budgets.
- Conduct individual on-the-job training and monitor the performance of Regional Operations
- Managers and Head Office Operations Personnel.
- Advice on company initiatives and ensure that they are properly executed.
- Review and approve expenditures, expenditures not budgeted, and expenses above levels of authorization Head Office Operations Personnel.
- Make salary and bonus recommendations to VP Operations.
- Refer legal matters to the CEO, and discuss Head Office department heads as necessary to protect the interest of the company concerns and issues with appropriate
- Interview candidates Regional Operations and potential Restaurant Partners.
- Select Regional Operations candidates and Operations Personnel.
- Follow-up on outlet reviews, P&L’s, and other outlet measure systems
- Evaluate progress in meeting company goals and recommend changes to the plan where appropriate.
- Maintain liaison with agencies of provincial and municipal government to ensure compliance with regulations and laws and maintain cooperative relationships with all levels of government.
- Maintain liaison with Restaurant Partners to maintain positive relationships.

- Post Secondary Degree of business management courses or equivalent management experience, supplemented by five years of senior management experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A high level of understanding of functions and duties performed by all field associates and a working knowledge of functions performed by head office personnel.
