Our client seeks an experienced Marketing Director & Strategist with a creative and collaborative approach, to lead and execute proactive marketing strategies for the Hotel, Le Crocodile; the restaurant, bar and the hotel events. The marketing strategy must deliver on the macro goals for the property, with a strong focus on demand generation. The Director of Marketing (DOM) will need strong business acumen, be able to strategize and execute at a Senior level and will come equipped with a skillset rooted in proactive and impactful marketing plans. The objective of the DOM is to be a strategic partner who creatively and proactively delivers on the short and long term goals for the hotel.
 
This candidate's sole responsibility is to take the hotel out to the world! Loyalty is #1. This is a partnership with all the executives in the hotel as well as the owners. 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
 
§  Partnering with the Directors of Sales and the General Managers of the individual outlets, the DOM will work to create and execute marketing plans.  In segments of the property that do not have a dedicated Sales Director the DOM will oversee the plans and ensure goals are in alignment across the Property.
 
§  Working thoughtfully with all available tools and investigating all avenues to ensure marketing initiatives are successfully delivering on the financial goals of the hotel.
 
§  Working to identify both group and transient demand opportunities, unique to each outlet, and executing thoughtful plans to capture this business.
 
§  Amending marketing plans throughout the year as needed to ensure relevancy and impact to the individual outlets. Staying abreast of industry trends as well as identifying new areas of visibility.
 
§  Collaborating with the individual outlet leadership, the DOM will proactively identify unique and targeted CRM for individual outlets, as well as identifying synergies throughout the building for unique business industry and segmentation opportunities.
 
§  Maintaining awareness of the competitive set and working to ensure that Wythe Hotel and its outlets are successful and thriving.   Communicate insights and trends to ensure the individual outlets are aware of the competitive landscape, are prepared, and are staying ahead of their comp set on marketing initiatives to maintain or enhance their position in the market.
 
§  Manage all graphic design direction and content and liaising with outside Art Directors/graphic designers/agencies. Oversee content and copy creation. Ensure all communication and all marketing materials hit the right tone and maintain the “voice of Wythe”. Manage and ensure all collateral, signage and graphics at hotel are on brand, correct, and up to date.
 
§  Plan, create, implement and manage multi-channel marketing from end to end, including all organic channels but not limited to social media, email, text, website, community outreach, etc. Direct content creation, influencer relations, and community engagement opportunities, including regularly reviewing content calendars, generating original social content, and social ad campaigns.
 
§  Manage and support paid digital ad opportunities and all SEO effort. Provide regular reports detailing traction and success of all paid ads and SEO efforts.
 
§  Hotel and Food & Beverage Web Sites:  Assist with gathering content for website updates and auditing websites to maximize performance and reach and presence.
 
§  Support sales team with external & internal communication needs. Liaise with sales team on creative requests working with graphic design team
 
§  Maintain brand guidelines, look books, and standards for brand consistency and communicate them to all relevant internal departments
§  Work closely with the external Public Relations team.
 
§  Ensure the building has the proper placement(s), awareness and visibility for both social and corporate events opportunities.
 
§  Interact directly with hotel Ownership and Partners.  Responsible for actioning the information provided and delivering on a timeline. Send timely updates including results.  
 
§  A cadence of meetings will be established as well as reporting back on all outstanding marketing initiatives. Provide real-time strategic direction on immediate needs above and beyond the established marketing plan.
 
§  Packages: Work with revenue team and GM to conceptualize and execute revenue-generating and press-worthy packages.
 
§  Providing monthly reports to the Owners and Partners on all outstanding activities with success metrics and comprehensive notes.
 
§  Evoking passion and excitement - Possess a clear understanding of the brand and act as the brand ambassador both on and off property.
 
 
    
 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :
§  Minimum 5 years’ experience
§  Bachelor’s degree preferred
§  We welcome candidates with backgrounds in fashion, beauty, art, editorial, media and other creative industries. Hotel experience not required.
§  Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
§  Excellent writer and communicator who interfaces well at all levels of the organization
§  Exceptional interpersonal skills
§  Workday includes some nights, weekends and holidays
