Our Client in Red Deer Alberta is looking for an up and coming Chef candidate to spend the next 6 to 12 months training as a Chef.

We are currently looking for experienced Sr. Sous Chefs or Chefs. The successful candidates for this role will be responsible for assisting the Chef in the day to day operations of a kitchen, hands-on cooking duties and operations responsibilities, including scheduling, ordering, inventories and costing, interviewing, hiring and training all staff and the development of future managers into the business.
- Minimum 7 years cooking experience
- Minimum 4-years experience in a management capacity
- Strong diverse cooking skills
- Easy-going personality
- Efficient multi-tasker
- Creative, strong attention to detail, and focus on bill times
- Passion about food and food quality
- Willing to work hard
- Red Seal or equivalent education is preferred but not necessary
The Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly revenue totals
- Assist in hiring, training, supervising, directing, coaching, and evaluating kitchen staff
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff
- Accountable to all new Menu roll-outs or system changes
- Completes scheduling and labour forecasts
- Must be able to cooperate with other departments to foster & promote a harmonious working climate to maximize productivity & efficiency
- Directly accountable to over 25 staff members
- Builds a strong team relationship with the front of house team
