Doug Ross

Doug is a co-founder and Partner of Blue Shock, focusing on the restaurant, hospitality, entertainment, food service and consumer goods sectors in Eastern Canada.

Doug has successfully executed management level searches for General Managers, Chefs, Regional and Multi-Unit Leaders, Directors and VP-level candidates, as well as in Sales and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Hotel Management & non-management positions. He has also placed Sales Representatives in food service and packaged goods.

Doug is confident in his ability to recruit across Canada in intensely competitive markets, attracting candidates through aggressive external headhunting strategies.

Before Doug established Blue Shock he had a long and prosperous career in hospitality, leading a business with revenues of over five million per year. He also experienced multi-unit management, leading training for new restaurant openings, and worked as an Operations Trainer in the U.S., impacting and influencing that challenging marketplace. 

Doug is a sports fan and his passions include golf and recreational hockey, cooking, wine and spending time with his wife and two daughters Emma and Sophie.
